BENEFITING: Care for the Homeless
EVENT DATE: Nov 04, 2012
On November 4, I will be running the ING New York City Marathon for the first time. This will be my third marathon, after completing the Brighton Marathon in England this past April. I was able to shave a whole hour off my 2010 Chicago time to finish in 4 hours 28 minutes. I'm hoping for a 4.15 time in November.
As many of you know, I run because of the inspiration of my father, Brian, who ran eleven marathons and countless other races in his 60's and 70's. He is no longer able to run long distances due to atrial fibulation, but my brother and I continue to keep the Mutton marathon tradition alive.
Please help support my run by making a donation to a homeless service organization in New York City close to my heart - Care for the Homeless. I've served on their Board of Director's for the past 8 years and I can personally attest to the life changing work they perform each and every day. The money raised will be part of their annual fundraising drive, Comedy Cares.
Anyone making a donation of $20 or more will receive either a bottle of homebrewed beer or locally raised honey in return. Both have been crafted from my own handywork.
Thank you for your support to those working to end homelessness in NYC.
