Support for Laila and Roger
Organized by: Kelly Breeden
My friend Laila is a strong independent woman. She has been through a lot in her life. She came all the way from Europe to live here in the states. She doesn't have her family here to turn to because they live so far away. She has made some great friends here and I know she has a strong support system.
Late Saturday night, very early Sunday morning (7/11), Laila and Roger witnessed a traumatic experience they would change their life forever. Roger's father (Laila's ex husband) tried to commit suicide with their child in the car. Laila went to stop him and to save their son. In the process Ryan took off with Laila hanging onto the truck and crashed into a tree. Her heroic effort may have saved her son, but she was injured in the process and received a concussion. She has to miss some work and cannot afford to. She is out of options of what she can do right now. I'm Laila's roommate and she is like a sister/best friend to me. All I'm asking from you is give what you can to help her and Roger so they can get through the next couple months. Laila doesn't like to ask for handouts but really needs your help. There is no set goal because anything you give will go directly to pay her bills. If you cannot afford to donate we just ask that you share this with everyone you know. From the bottom of both our hearts we thank you for your help.
