Supporting a Disabled Vet on Veterans Day
Organized by: Jeffrey Telepak
EVENT DATE Nov 11, 2015
On November 11, 2015 (Veterans Day), Rebuilding Together El Paso, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, will be repairing the home of a very deserving veteran. We need your help in raising funds to support this project. Mr. Antonio Moreno is 89 years young and served admirably in the United States Navy during World War II from 1944-1946, at which time he was honorably discharged. He was a member of the US Navy Construction Forces, also known as the "Seabees," and specialized in mechanics and radios. He served in the Asiatic Pacific Area and took part in the Philippine Liberation Campaign. He was awarded the Philippine Liberation Medal and the Victory Medal for World War II.
Mr. Moreno's home is now in need of some critical repairs. Rebuilding Together El Paso's team of volunteers and contractors will complete these repairs, but we need your assistance to help pay for the materials, etc. Every dollar donated goes directly to support this great cause. Please join us this Veterans Day as we give back to an El Pasoan and a proud member of the "Greatest Generation!"
