BENEFITING: CELTIC CHARMS
EVENT DATE: May 19, 2013
Celtic Charms will be holding its annual ride-a-thon on May 19, 2013. JT will proudly participate as a rider in this event to raise funds and awareness of a wonderful organization that teaches people with physical, cognitive, and emotional disabilities therapeutic horsemanship.
This non-profit organization is close to our hearts, as JT is a student there. In the past two years, riding has helped improve his balance, strength, coordination, language development, attention, and confidence. He is now running with much more coordination, riding a big wheel, jumping off beds, and speaking in simple sentences, and counting to 15 in relation to his every day activities. As far as riding, he is able to stop his horse, steer, post, trot, and maintain a two point stance. He was not able to do many of these things a year ago. He absolutely loves going to ride there, despite all of hard work he has to do while mounted on the horse. He gets a complete workout while doing something that he loves. The instructors and volunteers are wonderful to work with; enthusiastic and dedicated to JT and their many other riders. It has been a privilege to have worked with this organization.
Please make a donation to cheer him on, as he proudly and confidently rides Seamus in this year's ride-a-thon. Thank you for your time and attention!
