BENEFITING: Mangrove Action Project
Updates: The 2013 Art Calendar is still on sale at the Mangrove Action Project website.
I've already informed MAP that this fundraiser will continue in support of this year's calendar and for the upcoming calendar for 2014.
We're looking for team members to help fund this project through Crowdrise.
Mangrove Action Project is a 20 year-old initiative for worldwide mangrove conservation and restoration. I started this fundraiser for them because I've seen for myself the loss of wetlands here in my own country. I have learned that mangrove forests along coasts protect us from tides, rouge waves, and storm surges. And the mangrove ecosystem is as rich and diverse as any other.
This fundraiser is in support of MAP's 2013 International Children's Art Calendar Project. I have chosen this specific project because I believe in its potential to spread awareness about MAP and its mandate.
Please visit Mangrove Action Project's website to know more about this amazing organization: www.mangroveactionproject.org. They are lovely people and I am so glad to be acknowledged by them.

Peace and love,
P.S. A quick look at our 2014 Calendar Project.
P.S. If you need mangrove pictures for whatever purpose, I have quite a collection--gnarly trees, leaves, roots, shoots, mud swamp you name it. Just let me know.
