Major threats to the Snow leopard include illegal trade, human conflict, and the lack of species awareness among local communities. School students living in Snow leopard territories have a unique opportunity to preserve this endangered species through educating themselves and their communities. Through interactive, hands-on learning, 20 high school students will learn about Snow leopard biology, the human interactions with the species and create realistic conservation solutions for their area. Basic education materials and camping equipment are needed to bring make this project a reality. The camp is scheduled to take place in July 2014 if we are able to meet our funding needs.
