ERCI (Emergency Response Centre International) has launched an operation in Lesbos in order to assist the large flow of incoming refugees by providing its assets to assist with Search & Rescue. Approximately 3,500 people arrive daily on the shores of Lesbos packed on inflatable or rubber boats, regardless of the weather conditions, making their journey extremely dangerous and definitely not safe. This is why we've decided to launch an operation in November in order to assist professionally to the Search and Rescue of these people. ERCI’s personnel is consisting of competent, trained professionals who can fully operate and provide help in complex environments along with designated equipment, such as a 8metre RIB, which is part of the operation.
