THE STORY:

Toni Allen is one of the kindest and compassionate women I know, working in service for the good of humanity. She runs a group on facebook (Raw and Delicious Lifestyles) in which she gives of herself all day, every day, with the only motivation to help people regain their health. She has never monetised from the time she has spent helping us all. Her love to help people is undying. She set up this group with her beloved husband Mike Allen, who equally gave of his time to help others.

She has been living up in a mountain in Jamaica with her husband Mike Allen, growing their own food and living basically as so to keep their costs low.

Unfortunately, on the 26th October, she wrote us this letter on her facebook group wall:

"Mike (my husband) is very very sick. Many years ago he ruptured the walls of his gut picking up a cement object and created a hernia. This was a more or less harmless injury and he elected to live with it as it never really gave him a lot of issues to warrant surgery.

However, late last year Mike hurt himself again and this time the injury caused excruciating pain in his shoulder and neck and his old hernia. He has not been able to help out in the group as much as he would love to, because of this injury.

Then he started to lose weight. Mike has weighed the same amount since high school and virtually overnight he lost 20 lbs that he easily could not afford to lose.

Again we chalked this up to his injury and were so happy with the addition of some fruit and coconuts he gained back his weight. But in the past few weeks things took a turn for the worse and he lost his appetite and his taste buds died. He no longer enjoyed his raw food or even water and .. and the weight unintentionally fell off.

Yesterday we went by his doctor who temporarily made us feel better saying Mike developed diabetes because of his age. Knowing how easy diabetes is to tackle we were happy. He asked however that we go and see a specialist who would do a physical examination and blood work and tell us for sure what was happening.

The news last night was not at all good. It seems Mike has been suffering with Stage IV metasticised prostate Cancer for a number of years."

Less than a week after writing us this letter, Mike passed away. Toni just wrote this to me ... "We have been living financially off mainly Mike's social security benefits and my working on laptops ever since Mike got sick earlier this year. Not much money but we tailor our life to not need or use a lot of money.

Mike requested cremation because he thought it was the least expensive but neither of us realized how much it really was going to cost until he died and I was told.. When Mike came home from the hospital he made some calls and sold the truck just to make sure I had enough in the event he did pass away.. but never dreamt it was no where the amount needed or that the trucks little money was just enough to pay some medical bills. He really thought cremation would cost no more than $250 and instead it's $2000.. His family had promised him they'd take care of the cost but as promises go after he died so did those promises."

I am setting up this campaign to help raise funds for the kindest woman I know, to help her through this tragic time, taking away the financial worries that she is undoubtedly going through. My dream is to see her taken care of financially so that she can go through the grieving process without the burden of financial worry. If you knew how much Toni helps people, you would want to help her too.
