Support Valerie and Bie's Research in Cuba
Organized by: Bie Aweh
Greetings friends and family,
Bie and Valerie have been awarded with the opportunity to travel to Cuba in June for research to explore the implications of race on birth outcomes for African heritage woman. While research shows that stress related to racism results in high rates of infant mortality and low birthweight for Black woman in the US Cuba has one of the lowest infant mortality rates in the world. We want to explore the healing and community practices that create this conditions that support woman and children's health
As we approach our travel date of June 18th, we are in great need of raising funds to ensure that we are able to afford the cost of lodging and meals during our two weeks in Cuba. We understand that finances maybe a struggle for some so we are asking folks to give and support any way you can, that means sharing this link amongst your networks.
With love and gratitude,
Valerie Jiggets M.Ed
