Surgery For Samantha
Organized by: Samantha McClatchey
I'm 34 years old and I had an emergency cervical discectomy with fusion on my cervical spine. The doctor replaced my 3 vertebrae with artificial disc and metal. I owe over $47,000 in medical bills and were barely making the payments. However, I have been told that this disease will worsen and my entire spine will have metal on it. And I now need surgery on my L3, L4, L5-S1 and I don't have the money or the insurance. I'm in so much pain constantly, I can't work anymore and social security keeps denying my claim for disability because of my age. Plus, I want to work again and be active and able to take care of my kids. The amount of this surgery is $55,618.87 that's for the doctor, anesthesiologist, lab, and hospital etc. fees altogether. I have 2 children and I'm a single mother who at this point can't work due to this condition. Please help me afford this surgery so I can go back to work and provide for my children.
