BENEFITING: ST LUKE'S UNIVERSITY HEALTH NETWORK
St. Luke’s Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery (ACS) has partnered with the Mbingo Baptist Hospital (MBH) in Cameroon, Africa, to assist them in providing surgical services in this developing country. To accomplish this, we have established a one-month elective for our fourth year general surgery residents who will also be accompanied by an attending from the Division of Trauma and ACS. Much needed supplies will also be sent to MBH with these travelers as well as by shipments throughout the year.
Funding for this aggressive undertaking will be by tax-deductible donations to the St. Luke's International Surgical Studies Fund. Contributions to the fund will provide for much needed aid to the Mbingo Baptist Hospital and surrounding communities.
