BENEFITING: TESTICULAR CANCER SOCIETY
One of the 7 Summits on my 7th Cancerversary [UPDATE: I MADE IT! BUT I STILL NEED YOUR SUPPORT]
On June 29th, 2013 I will attempt to summit [I SUMMITED] Mt. Kilimanjaro, exactly 7 years to the day that I was diagnosed with testicular cancer.
This trek is dedicated to all the young men that we have lost too early because of testicular cancer. I am climbing for each of them but I need your help.
My goal is to raise $1 for each of the 19,340 feet to the summit. Each dollar you donate will help me get a foot closer to the peak. How many feet are you willing to help in carrying me to the top?
Since my diagnosis I founded the Testicular Cancer Society and have helped hundreds of others affected by this disease. But, this trip is personal.
Seven seems to be a theme as I had waited 7 months to go to a doctor after I first felt a lump. During that time I convinced myself and made peace that I was going to die as a young man from metastatic cancer which luckily was something my doctor assured me wasn't going to happen. This trip is to show others that there is life after diagnosis.
This is the biggest physical and philantropic challenge I have ever attempted and I need your help. Your donation isn't just dollars but signs of the support that I have to make this journey.
The money raised will go to the Testicular Cancer Society of which 50% they will use for their general fund and 50% they will donate to the CancerClimber Association (the expedition leader & founded by our friend Sean Swarner, the first cancer survivor to climb Mt. Everest) in order to provide adventure grants to other cancer survivors so that they too can go from the low of being diagnosed with cancer to the crest of exhilaration and begin to get their life back.
Thank You So Much for Your Support,
