BENEFITING: American Cancer Society
EVENT DATE: Sep 25, 2016
In January 2016 I was diagnosed with breast cancer like way too many other women. After a successful lumpectomy and 6 weeks of radiation, they believe I am cancer-free. While on this journey, I met many wonderful people just doing their jobs but giving so much to us going through our treatments. I am thankful that if I had to go through this, it was at a time when years of research had made it much easier and effective. I want to give something back. On September 25th I am planning on hiking the Grand Canyon from the North Rim to the South Rim. It is a 24 mile hike. 7 down, 7 across and 10 up and up and up. I will be doing it in one shot. No overnight at the river. The record for this trip is 2 hours and 51 minutes. Someone had better watch their back. I am asking all of you to pledge to continue the wonderful research that made my journey so easy. None of the money donated goes to me. It all goes to the Cancer Society. I will be posting pictures from the trip on Facebook. Feel free to friend me to see the beauty of the canyon.
Thanking you all in advance. Give early, give often.
