BENEFITING: MAHARISHI UNIVERSITY OF MANAGEMENT
EVENT DATE: May 06, 2013
As students of Maharishi University of Management, we have been granted an internship to develop sustainable agriculture on the land of the Ho Chunk Elder's Council in Winnebago, Nebraska. Having recently been warmly welcomed onto their land, we feel honored by this great opportunity to further nurture this relationship.
Our first objective is to establish two fully operational greenhouses including the implementation of a long-term permaculture design site. Working with the humble intentions of service and love, we hope to encourage the community along with future interns to help with this long-term development. Our other objective is to consciously recognize the wisdom of these indigenous people, engaging ourselves in discussions and actions that help culture positive relationships among the collective.
All funds will be channeled through our university's non-profit organization to provide the tools and materials needed to complete the greenhouses. Along with the development of the land, donations will be used to fund other necessities such as:
Solar Power System
Water Catchment System
Seeds and Starter Plants
Agricultural tools and supplies
Thank you for all of your support and contributions.
With deep love and gratitude,
Charity Grace Lambert
