Summer camp can be a powerful time in a child’s life. It can be a time to explore, laugh, learn and develop independence. St. Vincent de Paul’s Camp Ozanam provides a unique residential camp experience that resonates with children throughout their lifetime. Since our first summer in 1923, thanks to donor support, our camping program has allowed over 102,000 disadvantaged youngsters the opportunity to enjoy a fully funded camping experience along the beautiful Lake Huron shoreline.
Both boys and girls, ages 8 to 14 are invited to attend our camp based on need – whether financial, social or emotional. During their time here, campers are given the chance to be outdoors, try many camp activities, have fun and connect with mentors who believe in them. All of this helps to build a child’s self-esteem, independence, the ability to care for others, and the opportunity to heal from difficult circumstances. For one week, these precious children can regain their childhood.
Please support St. Vincent de Paul’s Camp Ozanam and help us send kids to camp!
