BENEFITING: BRING CHANGE 2 MIND
Our initial #SweatToStopStigma event this October was such a success that I've decided to extend this as an ongoing campaign. My goal is to marry my passion for fitness with my passion to eliminate stigma associated with mental illness. If what I'm saying, and what Bring Change 2 Mind does, resonates with you - please donate here and continue to spread the #SweatToStopStigma movement by raising our voices and support for this incredibly important cause. Stay tuned to this campaign page for updates and ways to get involved! - Kate Mansi
“It is not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognize, accept, and celebrate those differences.” — Audre Lorde, 20th Century Activist and Feminist Based in Harlem
"Nearly 20% of American adults face some form of mental illness in their lifetime. So why aren’t we talking about it?" - Kristen Bell
This year, I've chosen BC2M to be my birthday charity because of the brave people who reached out with their personal stories about mental illness in response to the three mentally ill characters that I played this past year.
I’m honored to support BC2M on October 1st, during National Mental Health Awareness Week, by co-hosting a fitness event, Sweat To Stop Stigma, at YAS Studio in Silverlake. Although this event is at capacity, you can show your support via the donate button on this page and by helping us spread the word about this important cause with #sweattostopstigma.
All proceeds will go to BC2M to help develop programs, PSAs, and tools used to educate about mental health. If the best solution is honest communication - then, let's all start talking!
Thank you for your support!
