Thanks so much for visiting my fundraising page! Will you help me reach my goal of raising $400 for She's the First as I climb Noanet Peak, Great Blue Hill, and Mount Monadnock?
Education has always been a huge part of my life. Now that I teach third grade at the same elementary school I attended, I see every single day what a difference education can make in a child's life. In college, I founded the American University chapter of She's the First, an organization that sponsors girls in low-income countries who will be the first in their families to graduate. In three years, we raised over $40,000 to sponsor girls at the Arlington Academy of Hope in Uganda.
Even though I graduated from AU last May, I always knew I'd want to continue my involvement with She's the First because it changed my life in a million ways. STF empowered me with the voice I needed to develop leadership skills and lifelong friendships. I am determined to continue using my voice to speak out in support of a brighter future for girls worldwide.
This April, I'm climbing Noanet Peak, Great Blue Hill, and Mount Monadnock to raise money for sponsorships for girls at the Arlington Academy of Hope in Uganda. I know the mountains I climb won't even compare to the mountains of adversity girls around the world face when they try to get an education. Every step I take will pay tribute to the steps these girls take to achieve their dreams and make the world a better place. Thanks for supporting my fundraiser!

Sweat for STF is a community of people who use fitness to fundraise for She's the First scholarships, helping girls in low-income countries be the first in their families to graduate from high school.
100% of the net proceeds you raise for She's the First through Sweat for STF go directly to the Scholars at our partner schools. Learn more about giving levels and our country partners at shesthefirst.org.
Participants in past Sweat for STF fundraisers attest that there is nothing more motivating than our Scholars to inspire them to reach their fitness goals!
The annual grand finale of the campaign is the New York City Marathon, where first-time marathoners run for us—it coincides with a celebration of She's the First's birthday.
Additionally, our Scholars have played a special role in fostering this community. In Nepal at the Kopila Valley School, STF Scholars host a 5k "Race for Equality" that sparks awareness and conversations about gender inequality in their village.
We hope that you'll join our team, whether you're challenging yourself to run your first half-marathon or marathon, organizing a benefit class with your favorite fitness instructor, or collecting pledges from colleagues who want to see you do 50 squats a day at your desk. Be creative! You're stronger than you think.
