Sweetest "MOM" in the world
Organized by: johnny welch
Hi, my name is Johnny. One of the sweetest mom's in the world was diagnosed with Parkinson's 4 years ago after a long surgery. A 2 hour surgery became 7. When she woke, she was really weak and didn't recognize any of the family. This lasted for a few days in the hospital. We immediately noticed a change in her, the way she walked, talked, ate, her memory, to name a few. She stopped driving after that and I took her shopping once a week for all her needs. That ended 5 months ago when she became wheelchair bound. I have been doing the cooking and some cleaning around my parents home since the operation. I work and live close by, so I spend as much time with them as possible. My brother is busy with his family, but his wife helps every now and again. My dad and I split the time watching her because of her declining health. We pretty much have to do everything for her, feed her, brush her teeth, get her dressed, bath her, change her when we don't get her to the bathroom in time. I think you get the idea. My dad I hurting now from moving her around and I don't know how much longer he can last. For all the things that she has done for me, I am just trying to pay back and make her comfortable. I am here looking for help to make her last year more comfortable! Thank you for spending the time reading this and any help would be appreciated. God bless!
