Sweet N Hot Apiary's Honey Bee Rescue and Adoption
Organized by: Barney Klimeck
Worldwide pollinator populations are dying at an alarming rate. In the United States alone confirmed annual die off continues to range between 30 and 60 %. There are many factors attributing to this die off and as yet no one factor has been given all of the blame. Excessive use of pesticides and GMO's are major players but so is parasite infestations and new diseases brought on by an already taxed immune system. The commercial pollinators are loosing Honey Bees at a staggering rate and have no answers except business must go on. The small hobbyist beekeepers have the best chance to slow down or help correct the honey bees plight by employing natural beekeeping practices to help the bees themselves strengthen their immune systems and combat some of their stressors on their own. To build a stronger Honey Bee with the ability to survive the many stresses that put together are overwhelming our precious natural resource. Today I'm asking you to help save the Honey Bee by helping me increase my Honey Bee Rescue and adoption program that will take Honey Bees out of the wild whether in trees or buildings or other structures and re-home them in a manageable hive to pollinate home gardens and meadow wildflowers. The bees that are re-homed will be put on peoples private lands to pollinate their gardens and private farmland for the enrichment of their meadow land. The Honey Bee Rescue will also be spending a large portion of time in community outreach and education programs all in effort to lighten the stress load that is killing our pollinators. The importance of saving these wonderful creatures is that without them the humane race would have to drastically change our diet and the way we eat because of the need to pollinate much of the vegetable foods we enjoy would not be available in the quantities that we have grown accustom to. Won't you please join me in helping me help the Honey Bee by supporting my cause with as much help as you can justify? How much is the future diet of your children and grandchildren worth? With your help I promise to do all that I can to do my part in saving our Honey Bees.
