Lynn is a marathon swimmer from Laguna Beach, California. In 2009 Lynn was the 176th person to cross the Catalina Channel solo at the same time earning herself membership in the Half Century Club. In 2011, Lynn crossed the Santa Barbara Channel solo as the oldest female to swim from Anacapa Island to the mainland making her one of only 36 swimmers ever to complete this channel swim. Lynn is one of only a handful of marathon swimmers to complete both channels.
Lynn was also part of an all-female relay crossing from San Francisco to the Farallon Islands. Lynn serves on the Board of Directors of the Santa Barbara Channel Swimming Association and is an observer for the Catalina Channel Swimming Federation. She has completed two of the Southern California Eight Island channels. Lynn has been swimming off the coast of Laguna Beach since the early 70’s and is a founder of the “Oak Street” swimmers.
