BENEFITING: LIMBS FOR LIFE FOUNDATION
Flash forward 26 years and students have since brought in more than $3.5 million for charity. This year, our goal is to raise $350,000 for Limbs for Life, an amazing Oklahoma-based non-profit organization dedicated to providing prosthetic limbs to those who cannot afford them on their own.
2013 marks the 27th anniversary of Swine Week. To honor the legacy started by Sam DiMaggio as well as the amazing efforts of thousands of Edmond Memorial students, we plan to involve as many students, parents, alumni, businesses and community members as possible.
We're currently trying to locate former Memorial graduates and invite them to our inaugural Pink Tie Banquet and to the final Swine Week assembly on Friday, March 15, 2013. We would love for you to help us remember the origins of Swine Week, the purpose and sentiment behind this life-changing event and reflect on just how far Swine Week has come. If you're interested in attending the Pink Tie Banquet and/or final Swine Week assembly, please click the "Contact" tab above and email us.
Please also help us spread the word about Swine Week 2013 through the EMHS Alumni Facebook page!
We would also love for you to share your personal stories and memories of Swine Weeks past. Feel free to post on the Facebook page below or send us an email detailing the experiences that have made the past 26 years of Swine Week so magical.
