Help Syrian Refugees
Organized by: sarah cruz
I'm going on a missions trip to serve the Syrian refugees in Lebanon this October! For a few years now, I have felt God tugging my heart towards the Middle East. There is so much oppression, so much persecution, yet so much beauty and history. It seems like too big of a problem, too much systemic violence and hatred for one woman to make even a small impact, but if I can touch one life or offer hope to one person then it will be worth it. Because of religious persecution and violence in Syria, millions of people have fled, many into the neighboring country of Lebanon. They live in tents, in extreme poverty. More than half of the refugees are women and children with little to no access to income, education, or hope for their future. The purpose of our trip is to show the refugees that they are not forgotten. We will be bringing supplies and passing out provisions, but more importantly, we will sit with these precious people, look in their eyes, listen to them, and show them that we love and care for them. I would treasure your prayers as our small team prepares to go! If you’re interested in helping fund my trip, I have $1,000 left to raise by the end of September. Any amount helps!
