BENEFITING: Ataxia Telangiectasia Children's Project, Inc.
EVENT DATE: Jan 17, 2011
In an effort to raise awareness and funds to find a cure for ataxia-telangiectasia, we are excited to announce that this music video benefiting the A-T Children’s Project premiered at our A Very Special Evening benefit at Lincoln Center in New York City. Please watch the video and share the link with your friends and family, and encourage them to do the same! We would love for this video to become an internet sensation, spreading the word about A-T and helping to raise much-needed funds for research.
The video features the music and performances of Adam, Jack, and Ryan of AJR, a group of three young singing and tap dancing brothers. They perform their new song “Go On, Take a Chance.” Visit them on their website: AJRBROTHERS.COM and FACEBOOK.COM/AJRBROTHERS. Young actress, Lorian Gish, plays the object of Jack’s affection. Filmmaker Adam Fleischhacker (May The Best Man Win) directed and edited the video. Tony-award winning actress Priscilla Lopez, and High School Musical star Corbin Bleu give the introduction, explaining A-T and making a call for donations. And, A-T kids Avedis Akian, Tori Bement, and Cayenne Love make special appearances during the credits.
The A-T Children’s Project is forever grateful to the whole team for donating their talent and time to this video and to playwright Eric H. Weinberger, our longtime friend and chair of the annual benefit A Very Special Evening, who conceived of the video and put together this group of amazing artists.
Please make a donation to accelerate our first-rate research to find life-improving therapies and a cure for A-T.
