Participants will form teams to walk the length of the waterfront, learn more about the campaign that brought community voices to the development process, and support ongoing efforts to increase community input in the planning of our neighborhood. The event will start at the basketball courts behind PS184M Shuang Wen School, entrance at Montgomery Street between Cherry and South Streets, right on the waterfront. Registration begins at 9:30am, and the program will officially start at 11am. Join us for a day of live music, recreational activities, and community building. Lower East Side and Chinatown residents and organizations will be available to share the organizing history around this precious public space.
