Taking America Back
Organized by: Pavel Kleyner
Bernie Sanders has been a dedicated politician for several decades. He has stood by his belief in the average American -- the middle class worker that makes up the majority of the United States' population. However, politicians in Washington D.C. have been increasingly influenced by large corporations and the "Billionaire Class" -- the top earning 1% of America. Bernie wants to stop this buying of politicians, stop tax breaks for billionaires, and redistribute this wealth to the majority of Americans.
Couple of income inequality facts to consider:
- In 1965, CEOs made 24 times as much as their average worker. In 2009, CEOs made 185 times as much as their average worker.
- The most wealthy 1% of the population owns about 35% of the country's wealth.
- The bottom 50% of the population owns about 2.5% of the country's wealth.
These are only a small fraction of the magnitude of our country's economic dilemma. If you find this to be a problem, please donate even a little, so we can support Bernie Sanders to take back America.
