Gayle Gardner's Fundraiser:

Taking Steps to Cure Multiple System Atrophy

THE STORY:

October third is World Multiple System Atrophy Awareness Day. We are hoping to raise awareness about this rare neurological disorder! In addition, the group is hoping to raise funds to help support research projects that will one day lead to better treatments and or a cure for this degenerative disease. The Walk will end at the Wells Harbor Community Park where families and friends of those affected by this disease can gather for a fun, family event. Proceeds from the event will be donated to a charitable organization, MSA Coalition, a 501c charitable organization. This organization is instrumental in providing support to families dealing with this horrific disease. In addition to daily support to families, they also sponsor a yearly seminar to educate physicians, caregivers and patients. The MSA Coalition also provides grants to researchers who are interested in learning about the causes, treatments, and hopefully cure for this disease. Please consider sponsoring one of our walkers! Every step could be a step towards a cure!

This year has become a very challenging time for both Mary Ann and myself. Mary Ann has been diagnosed with MSA -Multiple System Atrophy. For those of you that do not know about MSA please take a few minutes of your time to learn about this neurological disorder. MSA is commonly mistaken for Parkinson's disease. The symptoms can be treated and the treatments can aid in their comfort and lifestyle but the disease itself has no cure. Please help us today by donating to help cure MSA. Share this and Thank you. 3 years ago
