It all began with a simple wish of an eight year old boy, Adeel. He dreamed of going to school one day but had financial responsibility of a family of ten.
It was 17th Oct 2014, Adeel attended a political rally in a small town of Pakistan, Sarghoda. He was polishing shoes at the event and when interviewed by a local TV channel, expressed his desire to be able to attend school one day. Adeel story initiated a campaign where overseas Pakistanis on social media came together to find Adeel (#helpfindadeel). He was found on 20th Oct 2014 by a local party leader (Mansoor Hayat Lak) and a group of overseas Pakistanis came forward to fund his education.
We found out that Adeel has eight siblings and six of them are of school going age. We have now initiated the project #TaleemMeraHaq to put put Adeel and his siblings to school. Their first day in school was 7th November, 2014.
As Adeel and his siblings go to school, we ask you to please help us in keeping them in school. We are setting up a process for donation but in the meanwhile if you have any questions or would like to help in future, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
