SUPPORT TAMALPA ARTCORPS!
It is through the generosity of people like you that Tamalpa can continue its mission, providing dance & healing arts programs in service of individuals and communities around the world.
Your donations will go towards helping us fulfill our ArtCorps 2015 goals! Here are some of the great offerings we hope to provide:
- Workshops for women and children survivors of human trafficking in Calcutta, India.
- Workshops to support and empower victims of domestic violence in San Rafael, California.
- Training for leaders in the deaf and hard of hearing school system, Washington.
- Multiple scholarships for outstanding students committed to complete the Tamalpa Training Program and take the Tamalpa work back to disadvantaged communities
In 2014, donations funded training scholarships to very inspiring students, including: three Buddhist nuns from Korea devoted to the social role of Buddhism; a young Palestinian dancer committed to take the work back to her community; an artist from the UK, focused on bringing the Tamalpa work to those in recovery after surviving her own battle with addiction; and two students from Israel/Palestine to participate in the Anna Halprin Dance for Peace Workshop.
We also ran a number of powerful programs, including a program for incarcerated women in San Francisco, workshops for the homeless population in Texas, and a weekly community art program in one of the largest slums in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Your support is vital to the success of the ArtCorps program, and will allow Tamalpa to keep responding to the needs and requests of diverse communities by increasing the number of community engagement projects and also to continue offering scholarships to committed leaders around the world.
Each and every donation to Tamalpa makes a difference, so give what you can!
Your gift is 100% tax deductible
