Tamara Grigsby Memorial Scholarship Fund
Organized by: Friends and Family of Tamara
Tamara Grigsby (November 19, 1974 to March 14, 2016) was a Wisconsin State Legislator, a social worker, a professor, and a beloved friend to many. With a lucid sense of justice and a heart overflowing with love, she fought tirelessly for vulnerable and disadvantaged people. Tamara was brilliant, talented, kind, perceptive, funny, fierce, loyal, and remarkably humble. In spite of her dazzling speaking skills, she excelled at listening and learning. During her time in the Wisconsin Assembly, Tamara introduced and passed a record number of meaningful legislative measures to secure equality, fairness, and opportunity for Wisconsin’s citizens and families. In her short life span, she did several lifetime's worth of work to help others. As part of Tamara's legacy, this scholarship fund will help promising students gain the opportunity to achieve their dreams of service to humanity.
Please note: Online contributions will go directly into the credit union account set up for the memorial scholarship. (The fees are optional [unlike GoFundMe].
