Tamatha has two sons, Nicholas age 14 and Thomas age 17. They recently escaped a horrific abusive marriage to a man who was recently convicted of Social Security fraud in Maryland. Tamatha is a Breast Cancer Survivor. During her battle against this terrible disease, her then husband refused to take her to her treatments. At times, her young son's would have to assist her with eating and walking because she had become so weak and was unable to care for herself. While being a stay at home mom, Tamatha was forced to vacate her family home as a result of her then husband's actions. She and her boys were forced to live with friends while she enrolled in a teaching program to receive her teaching degree. During this time, her eldest son was diagnosed with Aspergers, anxiety, and depression. She was unable to afford his medication which caused him to slip into a depression that nearly threatened his life. Friends have helped as much as they could but it is still not enough to provide even the basic care for her son. She finally completed her teaching program but has still not been able to recover from her losses. She has tens of thousands in student loans, a repossessed car, bills resulting from her estranged husbands fraud, and unpaid medical expenses. She is desperately in need of you generosity to help her to rise out of this pit. The money would be used to, pay medical expenses, rent an apartment, pay past due utility bills, and purchase beds for her boys. One of her biggest fears is that her sons will be two more tragic stores of Black young men lost and forgotten.
