We will be traveling to Ecuador this summer with a team from Humanity Now, a group founded by school teachers who are dedicated to make a difference in the world. We will be visiting the Tambayacu, an Incan community that lives in the Amazon. Tambayacu is an impoverished community that struggles from water borne illnesses. The unsafe drinking water particularly affects the young children who suffer from diarrhea and reoccurring parasites, which stifles their growth and development, or even in some cases causes death.
The families of Tambayacu need ongoing help to rebuild their community, including funds for education and clean water.
We hope you can support our team’s effort to deliver and install over 60 SAWYER water filters from the United States in Ecuador. The filters are long-lasting and provide 0.1 Micron protection against illness. Each filter costs about $50 dollars.
