BENEFITING: EDGE OF SEVEN INC
Thank you for clicking on my page. I ran the Denver Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon this September on behalf of Edge of Seven, a Denver-based nonprofit organization that both acts and inspires. I am also fortunate enough to be traveling to Nepal this fall for a couple months to see our organization's work. All donations raised in support of my run and trip go towards Edge of Seven's community development projects in countries such as Nepal and Tanzania.
About the org: "Edge of Seven's mission is to generate awareness and volunteer support for projects that invest in education, health, and economic opportunity for girls in developing countries. We empower girls by supporting initiatives that are locally-driven, community-focused, and sustainable. It is our goal to make a measurable difference in the areas that we serve through a chain of volunteers over time."
Why did I choose Edge of Seven? When I moved to Denver about 1.5 years ago, I randomly got connected to this group and have been attached ever since. On top of the amazing group of individuals that are commited to this organization and the mission locally, we have really been able to accomplish some great work in Nepal. Creating opportunity for girls in developing countries and introducing/encouraging paths to education is a fantastic feeling and a impactful way to have a lasting positive change on their communities. I'm proud to be a part of this group and so excited to go experience our work firsthand this fall.
My goal is to individually raise at least $500. Break that down to 20 awesome friends, family, co-workers, mentors, neighbors, acquaintances, and super heros like you donating an average of $25 a person.
Thank you for your interest and help!
