This is a first for us. Troy and I have signed up to participate in the MN Fishing Challenge to raise funds for Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge. This is a non profit organization that helps people facing alcohol and drug additions. I'm sure we all know someone who has struggled with these demons. Please consider making a donation through our team. Also, we have raffle tickets available. These include prizes that include three Canadian fishing trips, guided fishing trips and other great items. Each ticket is $20. A small amount to impact someone's life as well as the life of their family.

MN Fishing Challenge Host Al Lindner knows catching fish during a tournament is important. He also knows that those who participate in the annual MN Fishing Challenge are fishing because they are saving lives. The date is Saturday, May 30, 2015.
“This is a fun event because contestants catch fish on Gull Lake at the best time while raising funds for people who are facing alcohol and drug addictions,” Lindner said, “I strongly believe we can make a difference by raising funds for MN Adult and Teen Challenge. I know it positively impacts boys, girls, men, women, and their families.”
The MN Fishing Challenge, presented by Mills Fleet Farm, offers many opportunities for anglers to succeed. Teams may enter one or as many divisions as they wish, all with the $100 team entry fee. The divisions are Lindner Media bass, Navillus walleyes, Nor-Son pike, Nor-Son panfish, and Sportech mixed-bag. There is also a McDonald’s Ugly Fish division. Sea Foam recognizes10 teams with their Second Chance award; winners receive a bucket filled with tackle and Sea Foam. Bag limits are low (3 each bass, walleye and panfish and 1 pike) so all teams are in contention.
The AquaVu Early Bird prizes for teams entered by April 10 include a Pasha Lake Camp deluxe fishing adventure in Ontario for four people. There will be five AquaVu underwater viewing systems for Early Bird entries, along with a fishing trip with Steve Pennaz, host of Lake Commando TV, lodging at Sandy Beach Resort on Gull Lake, and many other prizes.
Teams win great merchandise prizes. The top 10 teams in each division win US and Canada resort stays, including Witch Bay Camp on Lake of the Woods, rods, reels, tackle, trolling motors, ice shelters, guided fishing trips and much more. Flatline Outdoors will award five Mathews bows by draw to students in middle or high school. Also, prizes include fishing trips with Al and Ron Lindner, Walleye Dan, and other top anglers.
Details are posted at mntc.org/fishingchallenge, along with rules, photos, videos and an entry blank. The public may support teams (special team pages) on the website, also. For more information, call 218-833-8777.
