BENEFITING: Tomorrow's Aeronautical Museum
EVENT DATE: Sep 11, 2011
Tomorrow's Aeronautical Museum (TAM) operates a nonprofit flight academy, whose mission is to provide youth opportunities and resources in aviation and STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) as an alternative to drugs, gang violence, and other self-destructive activities; and on 9/11 seeks to unite the community through aviation with a day of service project in partnership with L.A. Works.
The Commemorative Walk
In honor of the aviation heroes and in memory of the 9/11 victims, first responders, service men and women, TAM is organizing their first annual 9/11 Commemorative Walk. The walk takes roughly 35 minute, 1.5 mile route from Compton Courthouse to TAM. All proceeds will help fund TAM's youth programs and a portion will go to Children's Fund of America.
5$ voluntary donations per person to participate in the walk are appreciated. Water, limited number of lunches, and snacks will be provided at TAM.
See the map for where to park, where to meet, and where we'll be going.
