Someone you know loves someone with autism. I am one of the seven members of the NEXT for Autism NEXTGen Board, and that statement rings true for all of us, as I am sure it does for you. While we have all arrived at NEXT for Autism through different paths, with our own personal stories, we are united in our belief in the critical mission to improve the lives of people living with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I personally am inspired by NEXT for Autism’s entrepreneurial spirit, its forward thinking approach, its effectiveness in addressing the needs of families living with Autism and its unwavering dedication. I am so proud to ride beside the NEXT Board, staff and the outstanding community that supports this outstanding organization!
On July 18th, NEXT for Autism’s NEXT Gen Board is hosting a Power Pedal event to raise funds for programs and opportunities that empower individuals with autism to live joyful and fulfilling lives. Join us at SoulCycle on E. 83rd Street at 8pm for 45 minutes of cycling and sweating, as we come together to support individuals with autism.
NEXT for Autism, formerly New York Collaborates for Autism, has spent nearly 15 years building innovative programs including the NYC Autism Charter School, the first charter school for children with autism in NY; the Center for Autism and the Developing Brain, a diagnostic, clinical and research facility with NY-Presbyterian Hospital, and soon Neighborhood Network of New York, a community-living program for adults with autism, a fast-growing segment of the population.
Remember: Someone you know loves someone with autism. Power Pedal for them!
