EVENT DATE: Mar 11, 2013
Welcome - Karibu!
In March 2013, I will be joining the Baylor International Pediatric AIDS Initiative in a small village in Tanzania, called Mbeya. For one month, I will be volunteering to help deliver critical medical care to children infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. As a member of this healthcare team, I will be working in a regional hospital and clinic to provide direct patient care, mentor other healthcare providers, and contribute to advocacy efforts in the local community. As a young doctor, this is an incredible opportunity to apply my medical knowledge and skill set, and learn how to care for children and families with limited resources.
As I am now in the thick of my pediatric medical training, I feel that I can truly make a difference for the children in Mbeya, but I need your help. The cost to travel to Tanzania is quite substantial, and I am hoping to raise money to help pay for my travel expenses. Every little bit helps, and you can be confident that your donation will be put to good use!!! Thank you for your support!!!
