TaskForceTracker: A new way to help first responders
Organized by: Andrew Jarrett
My team and I are working tirelessly to produce a new product for first responders. Many of us quit our big-kid jobs out in the private industry to start this company while many of us still work as firefighters, safety professionals, and instructors. We are working tirelessly to bring our product, TaskForceTracker to market so that we can start making emergency response safer for those who protect us. Our product combines the latest in wearable technology with the tactics employed on emergency scenes to build a platform that can be used to track and locate our first responders on emergency scenes. We can also tell when our heroes get in trouble by employing sensors to monitor conditions inside a burning house, estimate how much air a firefighter is using from his tank, or determine if a SWAT officer has over-exerted herself on a long scene. In order to keep the lights on in the engineering department and offer no-cost pilots to emergency services agencies to begin the real-world testing of this product we need a little help from our friends.
Because our product is directly for first responders, we have decided that a traditional crowdfunding campaign may not be the best fit for us. You can't pre-order our product and have it shipped to your house upon launch, because it wouldn't do you much good! However by backing us you're helping us to put together entire systems to deploy to fire departments, police departments, and safety teams throughout the country.
Supporting the ResponderX team is not just backing another technology crowdfunding campaign, it's showing your support for our first responders.
