Where I come from going to school is one of the most normal things you can think of. We are told from the start that with a proper education anything is possible. You can achieve anything you set your mind to.
Take a minute and picture this: What if education wasn't a given? What if your town didn't even have a school? What if you never have the chance to get that education we have come to take for granted? How would your life change and what would your future hold?
Well, as you may know this is the reality many children in far too many parts of this world have to face each and every day. I am not willing to accept that without a fight. Luckily there are people working to put an end to that...
Pencils of Promise is a wonderful organization composed of people doing amazing work in opening schools in towns across the globe giving children the privilege of being educated in order to enable a brighter future. They have made it their mission to create "schools, programs and global communities around the common goal of education for all". PoP believes that every child should receive quality education and I couldn't agree more!
The country, state or town that you are born in should not determine whether or not you are worthy of education. So let us all work together and give what we can in order to create a better world. After all, a quality education will open doors for these kids that they have never dreamed imaginable. So please, give what you can and make a child's dream come true today.
