BENEFITING: San Antonio Food Bank
The gentlemen of Alpha Tau Omega here at UTSA encourage you to donate to Tau Craw.
What is Tau Craw? Tau Craw is our signature philanthropy event benefitting the San Antonio Food Bank. It consists of a week long fundraiser utilizing the sororities on campus as well as brothers from the chapter. The week is concluded with "Tau Craw" on April 2nd. The event includes a craw fish boil, games, a band, and the winning sorority will be announced.
How it Works? March 28th- April 1st we will be on campus raising money for the food bank through a sorority food drive competition. Each sorority will be teamed up with a number of brothers that will assist them in the process. Money will be raised by donations, as well as various competitions that will take place.
Donations: As men held to higher standards, we took it upon ourselves to not only find a great organization to benefit, but we also want to give back to the area surrounding us. When looking at these factors, the San Antonio Food Bank fit perfectly. Although we are working with a food bank, we are not doing a canned food drive. The reason for this is to avoid unwated/expired food. The SA Food Bank equates $1= 7 meals, this way it is easy to see the benefits of the fundraiser. 100% of the donations made will go directly to the San Antonio Food Bank and ultimately benefitting the San Antonio area.
