Join us in the fight to ensure children are "Taught, Not Trafficked" It is estimated that 20,000 children are trafficked from Nepal each year, and this figure has seen an increase after the 2015 earthquakes. Children, who have lost homes, schools and families, are often looking for a better future. Instead they are forced into sex work, domestic work and other forms of exploitation and abuse. Keeping children in school is best way to prevent trafficking. A child in school is proven to be at a significantly lower risk of being trafficking. Our Taught, Not Trafficked campaign is a global movement of individuals speaking out against this horrific crime. Taught, Not Trafficked campaign raises awareness of human trafficking and slavery around the world while also taking action to stop it from happening again. In Nepal, work is being done with at-risk children throughout Sindhupalchowk (hardest earthquake hit district) to ensure that schools are at the heart of community development, that children can complete their education, and that they are safe from child traffickers. To find out more, visit the website www.taughtnottrafficked.com. All proceeds from the movie and donations will benefit “Taught Not Trafficked” campaign by Childreach International to build schools in Nepal to help at-risk children.
