My Autobiography to get into Prep.

My life has been quite an adventure the past three years. I’m always experiencing new things and challenges in my life that many other teenagers don’t normally go through on a daily basis. I take interest in many different things like sports, singing, fashion, and spending my time with people I love. I’ve set high goals for my life and tend to achieve them all.

I have light brown hair, big blue eyes, light skin, and I am very short! My name is Taylor Marie and I currently live in Whitestone, NY with my mother, stepfather, brother, and two sisters. My stepbrother comes and stays with us over the summer and long breaks. My father lives with his girlfriend and her son in Holbrook, New York. I am originally from Long Island but moved to many different places. I’ve lived in three different towns in Suffolk County for ten years, Las Vegas, Nevada for one year, and Saint Augustine, Florida for almost three years. Most of my family lives in New York but I also have some family members who live in Florida, Nevada, and Georgia. My ancestors are from Italy, Germany, France, and Ireland.

Moving around a lot is hard and is a big adjustment every time but I get through it and have made some really great friends along the way. Moving is just an exciting adventure and I look forward to experiencing living in a new place. It also has allowed me to learn at an early age that everything happens for a reason and it’s all in Gods’ hands. My parents just had a divorce recently and I had to take responsibility for my siblings and myself when my mom went to work, since we lived in Florida at the time and my father decided to move back to New York. It made me even more independent and more adaptable to different situations.

I started cheerleading the summer of seventh grade and fell in love with it. Competitions are probably the best part of cheerleading because that’s where you get to show off the most! I also like to play softball. I started to play softball when I was 10. I haven’t been consistent in playing either sport but I tend to get back in the game starting with my tumbling for cheerleading, which I’m going to began taking classes for. Another thing I love to do is sing. I’ve been singing ever since I was a little girl and haven’t stopped since. I’ve been in Chorus almost every year of school. I have done NYSSMA, which is a music festival where music advisors correct and complement your musical talents. I participated in NYSSMA twice and received the highest rank my first year. I’ve also been able to participate in cool things such as singing the Star Spangled Banner at a minor league baseball game. I have received many awards like the NYSSMA medals, president’s award, the governor’s award, an art award, softball trophy, cheerleading medals, and a citizenship award.

My favorite things to do are hanging out with my friends and having barbeques with my family. I’m a very social person and have a lot of friends! Once a month a bunch of friends and I would get together and have a movie night. We normally would go swimming, shopping, or go on walks any other day. Shopping, bike rides; tanning, listening to music, and reading books are some other things I like to do as well. Unlike other kids, I actually enjoy school. I prefer to get out of the house, be social, and of course learn. Science and Math are my more difficult subjects but I like them a lot because it’s more challenging for me to learn. English and Social Studies come very easy. I have received A/B honor roll almost every single year. When I grow up, I would love to become a psychiatrist. I would also like to travel around the world, go backpacking in Europe, and go to college in a different country. Then soon enough get married, settle down, and start a family.
