RAFFLE for Rare SIGNED TRUE BLOOD Bicycle for a Great Cause!
Organized by: E.J. Scott
********Raffle currently Shut Down***********
SIGNED TRUE BLOOD BICYCLE!! VERY RARE!! These bikes were gifted to only select True Blood Cast and Staff early in the making of the series. Deborah Ann Woll (my girlfriend who also played Jessica Hamby on the show) is now willing to part with this awesome item for the cause. It has wear on it. Missing the front light, needs air in the tires. Its probably a better display item that a practical item. I was able to get Deborah to sign it as well as Amelia Rose Blaire, Rutina Wesley, and Tara Buck all actors on the show. I may be able to get one or two more signatures but I can't promise that.
Once we get $1,000 I will auction it and record picking the winner and post it.
Every $10 = 1 entry
Every $50 = 6 entries
Every $100 = 13 entries
I will write a name on a raffle ticket for each entry. Then put all the entries in a bowl or something when the raffle is over, mix up the tickets and randomly pick a winner.
i have to be specific about this. if you donate 5 times $10 each that will only give you 5 entries. if you want the 6 entries for $50 you have to donate $50 at once. That also applies to the 13 entries for $100. enter as often as you like. hope thats clear. Thanks!
I am losing my eye sight to a genetic degenerative eye disease called Choroideremia (CHM). It attacks peripherally and erodes the sight inward until a tunnel vision and then total blindness. Im legally blind now and in that tunnel vision area. My grandfather was blind from it, my brother has it, my two little nephews have it, my mother, aunt and sister are all carriers of it. Some side effects are light sensitivity (UV rays will also speed up the progression), night blindness, affected depth perception.
Im 39 years old now. In 2012 I had recently lost about 70 lbs and I decided to start running marathons. I ran 12 marathons in 2012 in 12 states BLINDFOLDED. I was able to raise over $150,000 for The Choroideremia Research Foundation (CRF). It was the hardest year of my life but also the most rewarding. I was able to get a short film called RUNNING BLIND made about that year that was accepted into several film festivals and will hopefully be available for public view soon.
On November 6th, 2015 I'll turn 40 years old. In that year, before I turn 41, I want to run a marathon on every continent. Yes, including Antarctica. I will run all of them for The CRF and The Foundation for Fighting Blindness (FFB), and I will share each continent with another charity that means a lot to me. Im still figuring out which foundations exactly, but Ill be raising money for ALS, Autism, Parkinsons, Alzheimers, Rett Syndrome, Tourettes, helping kids and animals. My overall, goal will be to raise $500,000 altogther for the charities.
The money donated here will go toward the cost of getting me to all the marathons (the cost of Antarctica alone will be over $10,000 for me and my guide making it $20,000) and possibly equipment, depending on how much Im able to raise. I'd also like to make another documentary or web series about my year. Please give what you can. Any help is a big help.
