BENEFITING: Action Against Hunger USA
The Zeta Zeta Chapter of Pi Sigma Epsilon at The College of New Jersey is raising money for Action Against Hunger's relief efforts in the Philippines. The primary focus is early recovery by providing access to shelter, food, clean water, and basic sanitation. The objective is to minimize the secondary wave of fatalities that are all too often caused by starvation, dehydration, and the spread of disease.
Action Against Hunger is a global non-profit organization which has dispatched more than 100 tons of humanitarian supplies to hard-hit areas including - but certainly not limited to - Cebu, Tacloban, Bohol and Capiz.
Typhoon Haiyan's impact in the region, however, extends far beyond just a few cities. 11 MILLION people have been affected by Typhoon Haiyan, many of whom have been displaced from their homes. The death toll is currently over 6,000 with thousands of others missing. You've made it this far - there is no better time to help than NOW. If you want a secure way to donate money for a great cause, look no further. Less than a minute of your time can save lives.
