For 16 years, TEAK mission has been to help high-achieving but disadvantaged New York City students—those living in a household with an average per-capita income of $11,000 or less—gain admission to and succeed at our nation's top high schools and colleges.
Here are some milestones we're pleased to share with you:
100% of our 8th grade students have earned admission to academically selective high schools including: Andover, Bronx Science, Choate, Collegiate, Exeter, Horace Mann, Hotchkiss, Regis, Riverdale, Spence, Stuyvesant and Trinity.
100% of our 12th grade students have matriculated to college; 89% to top tier national universities or liberal arts colleges, including 26% to the Ivy League
78% of TEAK Alumni have graduated from college in four years, 88% in six years, compared to national four and six year averages of 33% and 49%, respectively, for all college students; 29% and 44%, respectively, for minority college students; 25% and 40%, respectively, for Latino and African American students. To date, TEAK students have been awarded an impressive $62 million dollars in financial aid.
