More than 5 million Americans currently live with Alzheimer's disease. That's about the size of the entire population of Slovakia. The Alzheimer's Association works to eliminate the disease through research, care, and support. Their mission to improve brain health and quality of life for those most affected by Alzheimer's--those over 65--is closely aligned with Aging2.0's. Since 2014, the Alzheimer's Association hosts the Brain Ball, which brings together business, political, philanthropic, non-profit and civic leaders to renew the call to fight against Alzheimer's disease. This year, Arnie Whitman, a leader in the senior housing and care industry, will be honored at Brain Ball in Washington, D.C. on May 5th. To date, the Brain Ball has raised over $2.6 million to benefit the Alzheimer's Association. This year, Arnie wants to raise $3 million. Arnie, an ally and advocate for Aging2.0, was personally affected by Alzheimer's when he lost his mother to the disease 13 years ago. Aging2.0 stands with Arnie Whitman and the Alzheimer's Association in their efforts to find a cure. Please join us in this fundraising effort by honoring a person in your life affected by Alzheimer’s--and with one in three seniors dying from Alzheimer's or another dementia, we are all affected by it. With support from people who care (YOU), the CURE IS WITHIN OUR REACH!
