In August 2016, our son, Aidan, was born five weeks premature. We were told he was not attempting to breathe on his own and were talked to about resuscitation and life-saving procedures however were advised they did not believe he would survive. We were rushed into an emergency c-section, where we were very surprised with the arrival of a happy, healthy baby boy. Aidan was small, weighing just 3lbs, 15.5 oz. He was taken to the NICU at Blank Children's Hospital, where he would stay for 13 days due to low blood sugar and feeding issues. Today, because of the doctors and nurses at Blank, we have a walking, talking, extremely adorable 14 month old son and could not be more grateful for the outcome we've been given.
