Connor was a seemingly healthy 4 year old boy, when on December 1, 2010, his mom, Tracy, brought him to the ER where he was admitted for a high white blood cell count. Doctors were sure this was just so to pneumonia, appendicitis or maybe a bowel obstruction. Days later, Connor's family learned it wasn't going to be that easy. A CT scan showed a mass on his left kidney. Connor had surgery to remove the kids my and that's when his family heard the words no parents ever want to hear; "your child has cancer". Their life was changed from that moment on. This little boy, who seemed perfectly healthy just a month before, went through chemotherapy, surgeries, countless poles, doctors visits and hospital stays. Connor is now one kidney down, but officially a six year cancer survivor! Despite being a survivor, Connor faces the after-effects of his treatment on a daily basis.
This is Team Alien Force for Connor's third time participating in the 46 Mile Ride for Childhood Cancer Awareness! Please help us continue to help other families in this incredible survivor's honor!
