We lost our sweet identical girls, Annie and Alea at 21 weeks on December 8th 2016 after a trying fight with TTTS. The costs associated with trying to save them were astronomical and when we were presented with the fact that we then had to also pay for their cremation/burial, we were floored. We were so fortunate to have a sweet family member who was able to assist us but this is not the case for many. The emotional turmoil associated with loss of your child at any age is completely inexplicable and we still attempt to navigate through life in our "new normal" everyday. We remember leaving the hospital maternity ward (that you still have to recover in), and seeing the plagued purple leaf that is put on your door when you lose a child, on two other doors. Our hearts hurt so bad for those other families and we pray everyday that parents can be spared this pain. Unfortunately, this is life in our imperfect world and more babies will be lost. The TEARS Foundation is an organization that assists family with the costs associated with cremation/burial of their children who are too precious for earth, and we couldn't be more proud to support an organization who does the least you can do for someone going through this form of loss. We would love your support in any way you can whether it's through donation, joining our team and running/walking, or simply your prayers for all these families.
