BENEFITING: Cornelia de Lange Syndrome Foundation, Inc.
ORGANIZER: Cornelia de Lange Syndrome Foundation, Inc.
EVENT DATE: Oct 15, 2016
Inspired by our own son, who lived 22 years with Cornelia de Lange Syndrome, we will once again participate in the Baltimore Running Festival to honor his sweet memory and to encourage other families whose children live with CdLS.
For those of you who knew Alex in his younger years, he was a runner too. We were never sure where he was going, but he sure did like to go! Alex sure did set the pace -- constant! So, running to raise research funds seems very appropriate.
The CdLS Foundation is the charity nearest and dearest to our hearts. According to the 2014 Annual Report, 88 cents of every dollar they received went towards supporting families nationwide. The rest goes towards keeping their doors open. Not many non-profits these days can claim that!
Team CdLS runners take on the challenge to better the lives of people with the syndrome—many of whom struggle to talk, eat and walk. There is no cure for CdLS, but you can help ensure services and programs for families remain by supporting the CdLS Foundation—the only organization of its kind in the country.
Much appreciation and love from our Family,
Garth, Molly, Bethany and Abbey Black (and Angel Alex)
