EVENT: Jam Kancer in the Kan 2016
EVENT DATE: Oct 01, 2016
Like many people, we've been blessed with beautiful, healthy children. We attend their games and practices, their school plays, their music and singing lessons, all of their many extra-curricular activities. We see other parents in our community at these many events, and we joke and complain to each other about how we're like a taxi service, always chaueffering multiple kids to multiple locations, which are always on opposite ends of towns.
Well, there are a number of parents who are on the same carousel, until that one day they get the phone call from their child's doctor, saying we need you to come in. And they hear the words " Your child has kancer". At that point the only trips that matter are the ones to the treatment centers, where their child is going to receive the treatments that are hopefully going to save their lives.
One of our own Jammers received this very phone call recently. A family that has been a part of Jam Kancer In The Kan since the beginning, helping to raise funds for Pediatric Kancer Research & Treatments. They find out that their son has kancer, and find themselves scrambling to find the best course of treatment for their son. And they find it at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), and they find that their son is responding well to treatments, and they rave about the care and treatment that their entire family has received at CHOP.
Jam Kancer In The Kan has raised over $56,000 in it's first 2 years, thanks to the generosity of people like you. Our efforts this year are going to support CHOP, so that the next family that receives that horrific phone call will be able to receive the same amazing care that our friends have received.
Kancer sucks. Thank you for helping us Jam Kancer In The Kan.
